Pharmaco-epidemiology
The research area pharmacoepidemiology highlights issues related to drug use in the population.
Welcome to pharmacoepidemiology
Welcome to the research page for drug epidemiology – the study of drug use and its effects in the population.
Our research focuses on describing and understanding how medicines are prescribed, purchased and used by different population groups and what effects we see in terms of improved health, side effects and costs of drug therapy. The way of working is mainly register studies, but we also do surveys and qualitative studies.
We conduct major research projects in four areas: Adherence, cardiovascular diseases, COVID-19 and medicines in the environment.
